The JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) is the organization responsible for conducting the entrance examination for prospective students into universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education in Nigeria. Below are the general JAMB requirements for students who wish to apply:

1. Eligibility Requirements
Nationality: The applicant must be a Nigerian citizen or a foreigner applying for admission into Nigerian institutions.
Age: Candidates must be at least 16 years old by the time of writing the exam.
Educational Qualification:
For university admission: Candidates must have completed their Secondary School Education (SSCE, WAEC, NECO, or equivalent).
For polytechnic and college admission: A minimum of 5 credit passes in subjects relevant to the course of study, including Mathematics and English Language, is required.
2. Subjects for the JAMB Examination
The subjects you take in the exam are usually based on your chosen course of study. Here are some examples of subjects:

For Science-related Courses: English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry/Biology.
For Arts-related Courses: English, Literature in English, and two other related subjects (e.g., Government, History).
For Social Science Courses: English, Mathematics, Economics, and one other subject.
For Law: English, Literature in English, and two other related subjects (e.g., Government, History).
3. Registration Requirements
JAMB Registration Number: Every candidate must have a valid JAMB registration number.
A Valid Email Address: For communication and sending results.
Phone Number: Must be available and in working condition to receive notifications.
Payment: Candidates are required to pay for the registration through JAMB's online payment system or authorized banks.
O’ Level Results: Candidates will need to provide results from secondary school qualifications, such as WAEC, NECO, or equivalent (with a minimum of 5 credits, including Mathematics and English).
4. Post-Registration Requirements
UTME/Direct Entry: Candidates applying for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE) will need to select their desired courses and institutions.
JAMB Mock Exam (Optional): Candidates can choose to participate in the JAMB mock examination, which is offered as a practice run before the main exam.
5. JAMB Score Requirements
Minimum Score: Each institution sets a minimum score that candidates must achieve to be considered for admission. This varies by university, polytechnic, and course.
Cut-off Marks: The JAMB cut-off mark typically varies by institution and course. For example, the general cut-off mark for most Nigerian universities is 160-200, depending on the institution. Higher score requirements might apply for competitive courses like Medicine, Law, and Engineering.
6. Post-UTME Screening
After the JAMB exam, many universities require candidates to participate in their Post-UTME screening process. This could involve:

Written Examinations
Oral Interviews
Screening of O’ Level Results
7. Documents for Admission
JAMB Original Result Slip: After the exam, you need to print your JAMB result slip.
O' Level Results: You must have a valid result from either WAEC, NECO, or any equivalent examination.
Birth Certificate: To verify your age.
Passport Photographs: A recent passport-sized photo for documentation purposes.
8. Direct Entry (DE) Requirements
For Direct Entry applicants (those who already have advanced qualifications like an ND, NCE, or a degree):
